Dräger Focus Day - Delirium
A scientific journey on the topic of delirium
Klinik Barmelweid, 5017 Barmelweid
Under the scientific direction of PD Dr. med. Mathias Schlögl, we will devote a day to the complex topic of delirium. Seven experts will highlight the latest findings on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare and show which interprofessional skills and communication strategies are crucial for successful care.
A particular highlight will be the report by former ski racer Daniel Albrecht, who will give an impressive account of his treatment time and in particular the challenges between coma and delirium. The morning will be dedicated to recognizing, understanding and training delirium, while the afternoon will focus on interprofessional care and ethical issues.
The overarching aim of the Focus Day is to incorporate the latest findings from teaching and research on the topics of prevention, diagnostics, treatment and aftercare into our daily work. The aim is not only to expand our specialist knowledge, but also to develop our personality and skills. Where necessary, the day also aims to change our behavior in order to further improve the care of delirium patients.
