National strategy for spinal cord injury: A pacemaker for inclusion

Integrated care: Visions for the Swiss Rehabilitation Landscape

On September 18, 2025, the Lucerne Initiative for Functioning, Health and Wellbeing (LIFE) is hosting a national forum at the University of Lucerne. The focus will be on integrated and coordinated care in the Swiss rehabilitation landscape.

Two keynotes will highlight the role of integrated care in the Health 2030 strategy and in Germany. Five flashtalks will show inspiring examples from practice, care, pediatric rehabilitation, patient perspectives and digital coordination (ePD). In the panel discussion, stakeholders from politics, practice, insurance and patients will discuss how rehabilitation can contribute to better care.

Dräger Focus Day - Delirium

A scientific journey on the topic of delirium

Under the scientific direction of PD Dr. med. Mathias Schlögl, we will devote a day to the complex topic of delirium. Seven experts will highlight the latest findings on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare and show which interprofessional skills and communication strategies are crucial for successful care.

A particular highlight will be the report by former ski racer Daniel Albrecht, who will give an impressive account of his treatment time and in particular the challenges between coma and delirium. The morning will be dedicated to recognizing, understanding and training delirium, while the afternoon will focus on interprofessional care and ethical issues.

The overarching aim of the Focus Day is to incorporate the latest findings from teaching and research on the topics of prevention, diagnostics, treatment and aftercare into our daily work. The aim is not only to expand our specialist knowledge, but also to develop our personality and skills. Where necessary, the day also aims to change our behavior in order to further improve the care of delirium patients.

The focus day offers a unique opportunity to deepen specialist knowledge, expand skills and sharpen the focus on the needs of patients and their relatives.
