Charter for Psychiatry Without Coercion

On behalf of the AFG Psychiatric Nursing and the Swiss Association of Psychiatric Nursing Leadership (VPPS), a working group consisting of psychiatric nursing professionals (including members of the AFG Psychiatric Nursing), as well as a person with lived experience and a relative, has developed a Charter for psychiatry without coercion written explicitly with the responsibilities of psychiatric nurses in mind, but can of course be discussed and used in an interprofessional context.

Contribution to the book “Dependency in Older Age”​

Published by Hogrefe Verlag in February 2021, the multi-professional textbook "Addictive disorders in old age" is based on clinical evidence and experience and offers recommendations for prevention, diagnosis and treatment. In collaboration with various specialist associations, the AFGs "Psychiatric Nursing" and "Gerontology" were represented by Sabrina Laimbacher, Esther Indermaur and Claudia Lötscher, who compiled the nursing section. A peer-reviewed short form of the manual was published in PRAXIS in February 2021.

Intensivbetreuung erwachsener Menschen in psychiatrischer Behandlung

On behalf of AFG Psychiatric Care of the Swiss Association for Nursing Science (VFP) and in collaboration with the Network for Nursing Development in Psychiatry (NPfP), the working group was able to complete the development of recommendations for intensive psychiatric care, which began in spring 2017. We would like to thank the entire working group led by Dr. phil. Franziska Rabenschlag and Martin Schmid, MSc HE.
