The Anniversary Nursing Science Conference 2027 brings together international and Swiss nursing researchers, advanced practice experts, educators, and healthcare leaders to explore the future of nursing science from a distinctly Swiss perspective. Hosted by the Swiss Association for Nursing Science, this inaugural international conference showcases Switzerland’s strong commitment to high-quality research, innovation, and evidence-based practice. The event provides a powerful platform to exchange ideas, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and highlight the role of nursing science in shaping forward-looking solutions for national and international healthcare challenges.
A Platform for Innovation and Collaboration
The Swiss Anniversary Nursing Science Conference 2027 is designed to foster dynamic exchange between science and practice. Participants will encounter a rich mix of keynote lectures, oral presentations, symposia, poster sessions, and networking opportunities.
National and International Keynote speakers will address key questions such as:
- Why is nursing a science — and why does it matter? What unique contributions does nursing science make as a discipline, and how do healthcare organizations, systems and persons outcomes benefit from its advancement?
- How is nursing science evolving in Switzerland and internationally, and what future challenges and opportunities will shape its continued development?
- What role should nursing science hold within the interprofessional healthcare landscape, and what visions and recommendations can guide effective collaboration across disciplines?
A key component of the Anniversary Nursing Science Conference 2027 is the presentation of current research from Switzerland and the international community. Researchers, advanced practice nurses, managers, lecturers, students and practitioners are invited to submit their abstracts and present their projects as part of parallel sessions, symposias and poster presentations. The sessions provide a space for specialisation in discussions, methodological exchange and critical reflection on new findings that advance the field of nursing science and evidence-based nursing.
Whether innovative research designs, new care models, theoretical developments or practice-oriented projects – the diversity of the presentations underscores the scope and the momentum of nursing science. At the same time, the various formats foster dialogue between early-career and established nursing professionals, as well as between academia, practice and health policy.
