The health care system is a market with unique features. Various demands need to be covered by insurances and public subsidies which leads to questions on how to best distribute these. Over- and undersupply are often used as buzzwords, but how over- and undersupply impact resources and health states can ultimately be described, analyzed and adjusted by nurses, this calls for a dedicated economic perspective within the various health care settings.
The AS Nursing Economics is an opportunity for me to establish a proper transversal language and to launch economic debates from an academic nursing perspectives.

I do hence very much appreciate being able to exchange ideas about this important topic with nursing experts and nursing scientists from other institutions and specialties on a national level. This cooperation and exchange enriches and facilitates my work as a lecturer and researcher at SUPSI.
