Our task is to strengthen the political influence of the VFP/APSI in nursing science and practice. To this end

• We advise the VFP/APSI Board and the academic nursing societies on health policy issues and consultations.
• We observe and interpret political developments at the cantonal and national level concerning nursing practice, nursing research and nursing education, e.g. in the development of nursing roles (Advanced Practice Nurses, Chief Nurse Officer).
• We promote health policy competencies within the VFP/APSI Board and the scientific societies.
• We maintain a network of stakeholders consisting of political actors and institutions, health care organisations and educational institutions, which is constituted by health policy content.
• We inform about current events in health policy.
• We establish a link between the SRAN and current political developments.
