Cross-sectoral treatment pathway Colorectal cancer
The pilot project "Cross-sector treatment path for colorectal cancer" was initiated, coordinated and financed by FMH and SAQM. The aim of this pilot project is to develop a recognised treatment pathway for all service providers within the framework of diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with colorectal cancer and their families.The pilot project is led by Prof. Dr. med. Jürg Nadig and Prof. Dr. med. Jürg Pfisterer. Project coordinator since December 2015 is Mrs. Esther Kraft. In the project group all medical and non-medical service providers are represented, including nursing, nutrition counselling, etc.On the whole, the pilot project is on the desired timeline. Phase 1 is completed with the development of the treatment pathway. AFG Oncology and thus VfP were involved in this development. Phase 2 has now begun. The aim is to assess the needs of patients and their relatives and to identify a region in Switzerland that offers a hand in implementing the treatment pathway.
